Kristy Abd-El-Malak, ESQUIRE

Kristy is a first-generation born American to Egyptian parents who immigrated to the United States in 1992. Her family moved from New Jersey, where she was born, to Greenville SC, when she was 5 years old. 

Kristy's parents believed in the American Dream and thus pushed excellence in higher education. She went on to graduate from the International Baccalaureate program from Southside High School before obtaining English and Political Science degrees from the College of Charleston. 

Kristy then received her J.D. degree from the illustrative Wake Forest University School of Law where she maintained positions in the American Constitution Society, Black Law Student Association, and Coptic Lawyers Bar Association. Throughout her tenure at Wake Forest, she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, Trial Bar, and received the Kay Hagan award for Public Policy. 

Beginning her career in the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office allowed Kristy to gain invaluable trial and court experience. She worked primarily in the drug prosecution unit but handled an array of cases including anything from Murder to petty misdemeanors.
